TBT: Look At Djemba Djemba Now

January 15, 2015

This week’s “Throwback Thursday” is dedicated to one of this summers’ most contagious collaborations, “Look At Me Now” by Djemba Djemba and London Future. At almost 2 million plays on Soundcloud, this song of festival anthem’s past, serves as a reminder of how ageless a track really can be.

“Look At Me Now” will never stop delivering a refreshing and unique spin to the conventional trap game, no matter how many times it get played.

1.31.15 With Music So Nice, You Have To Say It Twice

Team Supreme member and Mad Decent wonder kid, Djemba Djemba, has breathed an entirely new vibe into electronic music production since the release of his first single back in 2011. Djemba Djemba is one of the few up-and-coming artists that stays fresh with each new release and refuses to settle on one single sound. From the fun and unique trap inspired style of, “Oh Okay Yeah That’s Cool,” to the extremely entrancing and thoughtful track, “Discontent,” Djemba Djemba constantly delivers pristine releases with a variety of authentic and dynamic sounds and styles.

This incredibly gifted Brooklyn DJ/producer has been demanding attention from the EDM world and has managed to gather both attention and support from the likes of BBC Radio, Diplo, Rusko, The Gaslamp Killer, Clicks and Whistles, Baauer and Major Lazer, just to name a few. Currently focusing on a few exciting collaborations, we’re gladly looking forward to seeing a lot more of Djemba Djemba in 2015.

Djemba Djemba will be joining us in Santa Barbara January 31st at Earl Warren Showgrounds. For more info about the show, check out the event page on Facebook and purchase tickets here.

Check out the kid with tracks so nice

Djemba Djemba Revamps RL Grime's "Core"

October 8, 2014

Mad Decent signee and Team Supreme member, Djemba Djemba just released a free download of his incredibly energetic and dynamic Selassie Bootleg of RL Grime’s recent hit, “Core”. This “Core” bootleg is a refreshing take on the already killer original track by RL Grime. With each drop comes a new and unique listening experience.

The first drop quickly amps up and emphasizes the exotic jungle fever of the original by ramping up the tempo and adding a bit of stylized chaos and break beat feels. The second drop is most reminiscent of the original track, while the finale really sets this bootleg over the top as Djemba lowers the tempo and brings the sexy vibes that create an extremely powerful down-on-the-ground feel.

This fast moving and ever morphing bootleg is a must-have for any DJ or music lover’s iTunes.
