Completely Kaiya

January 8, 2016
Post Image

Tie up those loose ends that may prevent you from having a killer weekend of dancing and smiling to one of our favorite DJs, Pumpkin at the Lucidity “Crossroads” premier party, tomorrow at SOhO in Santa Barbara.

Today’s post is not to be even the slightest indication as to what will be played this weekend – because you know Pumpkin brings that love sauce – but it sure gets us rolling on a good one.

A collaboration between production duo Styles&Complete (Buygore and HK Army’s brainchild), Doco, and LA-based rapper/songstess, Kaiya Wolff.

Yes, Kaiya, yes, girl. Winner of Tiesto’s TV show, “Your Shot,” if you are down for babes like MIA and Santi/Santogold, you are going to have a good time playing with Miss Wolff. Syles&Complete add the icing with their bass-dominant production: some sort of hybrid of moombahton, trap, and hip-hop. You can thank Doco for the softening the blow of the track with his bouncy tropical house influence, where we are finding that moombahton vibe.

Keep an eye out for both Kaiya as a solo artist and Styles&Complete as duo after you grab a free download below:

Just what we want to listen to tonight. Soulful, groovy, and so fucking smooth, Delusion’s remix of “Movements,” will induce, perhaps involuntary, head-bopping and toe-tapping.

Yung Fusion’s flow is seamless and sexy, setting itself nicely agains Delusions bouncy, future bass edit. Originally by Pham, Delusion’s take is house-forward with some serious funk. “Movements” will take you for a fun little run on the dance floor.

Grab it here and then grab someone to grind up against:

A Moment With Dathan

January 8, 2016
Post Image

Take a moment to check out San Francisco and South Bay producer, Dathan, shit’s wavy bruh.

An exciting track that has been shrewdly executed, “Moments” displays Dathan’s playful, yet technical take on electronic music. Sharing elements of hip-hop, future bass, and heavy hitting trap, the product is extravagant and whole-hearted.

Dathan is sharing his track for NYP, so if you can, throw the dude some support as he plans on putting it all towards touring this year. That’s the 2016 hustle we love to see.

How The World Rotates

January 7, 2016

Always overjoyed with new releases from Australian sound pioneer, Flume. A prerequisite to where he is know, every track Flume releases is big: big in sound, big in feels, big in surprises.

Hard to ignore, in line with all Flume releases, “Skin” contrasts lullaby-like samples with boisterous anthems weaved throughout . . . almost like a slow, mechanical R&B, broken up by full circle synths and heavy trap. We love how Flume consistently takes you for a journey within his artwork, often jumping around so frequently that the listener is convinced a completely different tune is playing.

It works though, every fucking time, and that is why Flume’s following is so real- he’s consistently progressive, consistently beautiful. Flume’s tracks never denote sadness, but a lively and positive experience for those who lend an ear.

Grab the premier of the LP for free while you can and make sure to keep and eye out for the release!

My Love. Your Love. Our Love.

December 22, 2015

Bristol-based, producer SØNDER. has kind of come out of no where! A statement validated by a quick peep on his Facebook page and a clear “Started in 2014″. . . Well, you go, Glen Coco!

Currently mid-release of his newest EP, Your Love, his 3rd track out of 4, “Holding On,” is available for free. “Holding On” is the UK garage will make you two step while you attempt to bump and grind ATST… trust us, it’s a really good look. Though the EP is quite danceable, depth lies in the vocals, giving off and air of longing for a loved one from the singer, which makes the EP feel extremely intimate and personal.

One huge factor we have noticed about a UK fave in the USA: garage seemed to have a short spurt in 2012, but that is about it. Now confused listeners attempt to align it with “deep house.” Nope, not at all. The BPM is bumping with garage, not drawn out like the deep shit. Perhaps the danceable genre will finally get it’s fair run here in the States. If not, there will always be a few fans, us included.

Feel The Burn

December 4, 2015
Post Image

A hot new release from future bass pioneer, Jason Burns, reminding all of us to be here now. Yesterday’s gone and there really isn’t anything you can do about it. Peace! Adios! Sayonara sucker! So why not grab this 100% free no-strings-attached track to get you all sorts of hyped for your scheduled entertainment this Friday at EOS with Jason Burns.

At the brink of the Portland-based producer’s popularity, Burns was one of the first artists we heard expreinemting with genres, blending together two dichotomies in the new-age music realm, bouncy and trancedental house music with the complexity of sexy bass music. Working with artists like Kastle and Jessie Andrews, Burns has given us the “true” future bass sound we crave, no fluffy baby voiced samples or squeaky bed bullshit samples, unless its actually your bed IRL rocking.

Such a topic of discussion these past three years, “future bass” or “future house” as a genre can be compared to a combination of bass and house music… an extremely bass-forward house that Burns has fully tapped into. For his newest release, house takes the forefront- even better, disco-funk house with a vocal loop that will remind you of the good ‘ol Soul Train days. “Yesterday” is danceable and the perfect track to replay as you wait for a fun-filled night with the man, J.B.

Once again, RSVP for FREE here!

Make U Feel Grand

November 24, 2015
Post Image
A quick write-up for up-and-comer, Eli Grand- the 18-year-old producer from New Zealand.

We have had ample amount of time to get acquainted with the original by Alina Baraz and Galimatias, a hot release earlier this year, but for those looking for a little more “umph” or more BPM, look no further.

Eli lnks-up with fellow New Zealand kiddos, LMC and Wayvee for a collab that will have you wishing it was longer. The trio essentially speed-up “Make You Feel”,  fucking with Alina’s pitch quite a bit, which was actually a pleasant surprise in the midst of high, squeaky baby vocals that often leave a sour taste, overpowering the track. The boys add a few fun elements like a bouncy garage beat at the end, leaving you on a brighter note..

Grab it for free and keep and eye on Eli:
